Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a system of primary care dating back thousands of years. It takes into account how the whole person is functioning in order to treat the symptoms of imbalance and the imbalance itself. It is a safe, natural, and effective means to restore your optimal state of health and bring the body back into a state of well-being through stimulation of specific areas known as acupuncture points. Acupuncture has been shown to increase blood circulation, reduce pain, induce relaxation, and promote healing via a variety of different biomedical mechanisms. Though its effectiveness had been known clinically, there are now numerous studies that indicate the safety, effectiveness and benefits of receiving acupuncture care. Below are just a few of the benefits of acupuncture:
Acupuncture has been shown to alleviate headaches/migraines that have defied Western medical treatment.
Acupuncture provides relief from chronic, joint inflammation and neuromuscular pain.
Patients treated with acupuncture for insomnia noticed an improvement in quality of sleep.
Acupuncture optimizes the immune system to help prevent flu, common colds, sinus issues and acute or chronic cough.
Acupuncture prevents and addresses an array of digestive issues including heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, GERD and more
Acupuncture is beneficial for individuals suffering from stress, anxiety, or depression and can modulate neurotransmitter release and uptake
Your initial visit is 90 minutes which includes an extensive initial evaluation followed by acupuncture. Follow up visits are 45-60 minutes and include acupuncture plus other adjunctive techniques such as aromatherapy, cupping, gua sha, and tuina as needed.

Herbal Medicine
The use of botanical substances for medicinal purposes is one the the oldest forms of medicine in the world. About 25% of present day pharmaceuticals have active ingredients that were first found in nature and then later duplicated in a lab. You may be familiar with using peppermint for a headache or ginger for nausea/digestion but this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to using plants as medicine.
Herbal medicine is a safe and effective alternative to pharmaceutical drugs or can be used in conjunction with certain pharmaceuticals to reduce side effects or enhance therapeutic benefits. With herbal medicine, we are able to do more than just treat a symptom but to also work on the root cause. An evaluation is completed in order to create a custom herbal formula based on your unique health picture. Herbs are typically taken as either capsules/tablets, tinctures, or powdered.
Safety
Herbal medicine is extremely safe when prescribed properly under the guidance of a trained herbalist. We only recommend herbs of the highest quality from reputable manufacturers who follow GMP Guidelines and thoroughly test their products for unwanted contaminants such as heavy metals and pesticides. This ensures safety, purity, and potency.

CUPPING

This is a sign of imbalance and as you continue with cupping session the area will be come and disappear faster indicating that the body is healing. Cups maybe made from glass, silicone or plastic. A cupping session may including stationary or moving cupping to loosen fascia and adhesion.
GUA SHA
Another ancient manual therapy techniques that involves a scraping maneuver across the surface of skin with specific tools to relieve pain and tension, promote circulation and detoxify. GuaSha can be used cosmetically to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate skin.
